Vipassana Timer
Your practice stays yours.
A private, offline practice timer. No account, advertising, analytics, tracking SDK, developer-operated server, or cloud database.
Effective 24 August 2026
Information the app handles
The app stores timer state, meditation-log entries, optional private session notes, your practice preferences, and the optional Apple Health setting in app-owned storage on your devices. The developer does not receive this information.
Each installation keeps its own local log. Nothing is transmitted to a server operated by the developer, because there is no such server, and the app has no synchronization service.
Apple Health
Apple Health integration is optional and off by default. If you enable it, the app requests permission only to write completed sittings as Mindful Minutes. It does not request permission to read Health data, and the developer cannot access your Health data.
If a session has already been written to Health, editing or deleting the app’s local record does not alter that Health entry. You can manage Health entries and this app’s permission in Apple’s Health and Settings apps.
Gongs, widgets, and shortcuts
Gongs play as audio from the app on your device. The app schedules no notifications and asks for no notification permission on any platform. Widgets, deep links, and App Shortcuts provide local quick-start actions. None of these send practice information to the developer.
Retention and your controls
Timer history remains on your device until you edit or delete it, or uninstall the app. Once you delete an entry an older copy does not restore a deleted entry.
You can:
- edit or delete individual meditation-log entries in the app;
- turn Apple Health writing off in the meditation log;
- revoke Apple Health permission in system Settings; and
- remove remaining local app data by uninstalling the app from each device.
Data collection and tracking
The developer does not collect data from this app and does not track you across apps or websites. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK.
